Portable Projects is committed to conducting its business in an ethical, transparent, and responsible manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to ensuring that these practices are not present in our operations or supply chains.
This policy complies with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of Portable Projects. It covers all areas of our operations and the supply chains associated with our goods and services.
Our Commitments
1. Awareness and Training
• We will provide appropriate training to employees and relevant stakeholders to ensure awareness of modern slavery risks and their responsibilities under this policy.
2. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
• We will identify, assess, and mitigate risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.
• We will conduct due diligence on new suppliers and periodically review existing suppliers to ensure compliance with our anti-slavery values.
3. Supplier Code of Conduct
• All suppliers must adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct, which includes strict provisions against modern slavery and human trafficking.
4. Reporting and Escalation
• We encourage employees and external stakeholders to report concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking without fear of retaliation. Reports can be made through our confidential reporting mechanisms.
5. Monitoring and Review
• We will regularly review the effectiveness of our anti-slavery measures and update this policy as necessary.
Compliance with the Policy
All employees, contractors, and business partners are required to:
• Avoid any activities that may lead to or imply involvement in modern slavery or human trafficking.
• Promptly report any concerns or suspicions regarding slavery or human trafficking in any part of the business or supply chain.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, or legal action.
Governance and Responsibility
The management of Portable Projects is responsible for ensuring compliance with this policy and that appropriate resources are allocated to support its implementation. This includes regular reporting to the Board on compliance and any issues arising.
